Foreclosure is a legal action initiated and filed by the borrowers mortgage lenders to bring suit upon the borrowers in an effort to force the borrowers to bring the loans current or in most cases to legally gain back the property that is being used as collateral to secure the mortgages. Upon receipt of the paperwork the borrowers has 2030 days area dependant to file an answer to the complaint. Note if the borrowers are not physically served the lawsuit paperwork the attorney for the lenders will in do time prove to the court all their efforts and the lenders will get a default judgment as if the borrowers had received and had not answered the complaint.
